1. Who are Crown Financial Ministries?
Crown Financial Ministries (UK), formed in 2008, is a UK registered charity with its own independent Board of Trustees. The Board comprises Mark and Rhoda Lloydbottom as well as Peter Briscoe who is an employee of Crown Financial Ministries in the USA. Read about the history of Crown.
2. What does Crown do?
Crown is a not for profit organisation that teaches God’s biblical principles of finances to people around the world. We teach through our award-winning radio programmes, church teaching solutions, newsletter and products, including workbooks and software. Our goal in the UK is to have our own materials, although in the early years we will use some US developed material.
3. Where is Crown located?
Our home office is located in north Bristol, in America we are in Gainesville, northeast Georgia, but we have Crown staff located on five continents.
4. How can Crown help me with my finances?
We offer materials for small groups and individual Bible studies. We also have materials on many other areas of finance. Please note that we do not offer investment advice, nor do we have trained counsellors who can give investment or financial planning advice. No one associated with Crown may use their relationship with us to give investment advice, which is a wholly regulated industry.
5. Does Crown give financial assistance?
This ministry is supported primarily by outside donations that are sent to us for the purpose of teaching biblical principles of money management, we are not free to redirect those funds. We are sensitive to the needs of others, but we are required to follow certain financial guidelines and to be accountable to those who support the work of this ministry.
6. How does Crown operate?
Crown Financial Ministries operates on a cash basis (i.e., it does not borrow money). Crown believes that one of the ways God can give direction is through the provision (or withholding) of funds. 7. Is Crown affiliated with any religious denomination?

8. Is Crown controlled by the US offices
No, we are governed independently by our Board of Directors. All those who work for Crown in the UK are resident in the UK. Crown encourages each country to develop the ministry, led by those who they believe are called and equipped to present the message in the local marketplace. However, God has deposited 30 years experience and wisdom in Crown and we are thankful for Crown in the US, for their willingness to allow us to not only change the $$$ symbols, but also to adapt their materials so they are appropriate for us here in the UK.
9. Is the material for all churches?
Crown is a Christian, non–denominational organisation. Our materials are appropriate for all those who know and believe the Bible to be God’s word. Our studies are used by protestant and Catholic churches alike.
10. Do Mark and Rhoda Lloydbottom receive a salary from Crown?
Mark and Rhoda Lloydbottom accept no salary for their work at Crown Financial Ministries. They know that this is God's ministry, not theirs. The Lloydbottom’s name is not on any offices, nor does any ministry property belong to them personally. Everything is owned by the ministry and UK charity, Crown Financial Ministries. |
