Leadership Team
Mark and Rhoda Lloydbottom

National DirectorsMark and Rhoda

Personal Journey

Mark and Rhoda were called by God to lead Crown in the United Kingdom. At the time of their calling they realised how God had been preparing them throughout their lives for ‘such a time as this’. They have always been passionate about teaching others about what the Bible has to say about money, wealth and possessions.

Mark and Rhoda have belonged to three Bristol churches and one in Woodstock, Georgia. In these churches they have served in a number of capacities. Mark has been a church leader, teacher and trustee and together they have been Sunday school teachers and youth group leaders. On the occasion of their public baptisms God gave Mark and Rhoda Psalm 40:3: He has put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust the Lord. They believe that Crown is integral to God’s plan to fulfil that promise.

They are committed to seeing Crown Financial Ministries established in the United Kingdom and to serve and train the church by providing study materials and forums for the comprehensive financial teaching in the church.

Mark and Rhoda Lloydbottom married in 1973 and live in Bristol where the Crown UK office is based.

Business Background

Mark’s 35-year professional careersaw him start his training as a student in Wolverhampton before qualifying as a chartered accountant with Deloittes in Southampton

and then building three successful businesses. For sixteen years he built an accountancy business that served over 1,000 clients in Bristol. While building this business Mark developed a range of teaching programmes and management systems which he launched into the UK by founding Practice Track. For fifteen years Mark was at the helm as Practice Track became recognised as the UK’s premier publishing and marketing company for accountants. His company annually published over 750,000 budget reports and tax cards for accountants to distribute to their clients. During his time building this company Mark worked closely with a number of US organisations and gained extensive experience in anglicising US materials. He also developed Profit Plus™, a comprehensive system designed to help accountants advise their clients on how to improve their business profitability. Subsequently he was the founder of PracticeWEB, a company that provides content for, hosts and manages the websites of over 600 firms of accountants including four firms in the Top 30. When building these companies Mark presented his management and marketing lectures in over 200 venues throughout the UK and the US and for all UK accountancy bodies. Throughout the development of the businesses Rhoda has worked on the next job that needed doing. Concentrating on the administration and accounting responsibilities she has worked alongside Mark using her talents and forever extending her capabilities.

Mark has spoken at conferences on accounting firm marketing and management for over 20 years throughout the UK, Europe and North America and he has consulted on committees and working parties with a focus on the future of the accounting profession for the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Chuck Bentley

Crown Global CEOChurch Bentley

In 2000, while a business owner in Dallas, Texas, Chuck Bentley was deeply impacted as a student in a Crown Bible study. The entire direction of his life was changed when he realised that he was attempting to serve two masters, God and money, and failing at both.

His authentic passion for the vision and mission of Crown results from the transformational impact that God’s Word has had on his finances and more importantly, on his relationship with Christ.

Chuck has travelled throughout the world teaching biblical financial principles to the affluent, middle class, poor and ultra poor. He is the co-creator of the Crown Money MapTM, a contributor to Saddleback Church’s small group series, Managing Our Finances God’s Way, and is currently writing and producing a series of short films designed to convey God’s principles of provision and sustainability through dramatic Bible stories seldom captured in visual media. He brings to Crown visionary leadership that connects with all generations and is a dynamic speaker who inspires his audience with a strong scriptural emphasis.

He has previously served Crown as Senior Vice President of Global Impact Group, Vice President of the US Field, State Director of Texas, and Area Director in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas. Before joining Crown, he was the founder and president of Office Exchange, an Internet startup that in 1999 was named one of the 60 best seed stage companies in the world. The company did not survive the technology crash of 2000; however, Chuck considers the experience a blessing that God used for his personal transformation. Chuck started his career in a family-owned oil and gas exploration company, and moved to sales and marketing roles in Dallas, Texas where he excelled in real estate prior to forming Office Exchange.

Chuck was born 2 July 1957 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He enjoys reading, outdoor activities and his family. He and his wife Ann have been married for 28 years. Both are graduates of Baylor University, where Chuck earned a B.A. in Business Administration, served as Student Body President and received both Outstanding Sophomore Man and Outstanding Senior Man awards. He currently serves on the board of directors of Camp Highland, a Christ-centred, high adventure camp for young people. He is frequently a guest speaker addressing both churches and business leaders on biblical financial topics. Chuck and Ann live near Atlanta, Georgia and have four sons and a daughter-in-law.

David Rae

President: Global Field DivisionDavid Rae

David Rae became President of Crown Ministries in February 2000. Shortly afterwards, Dave’s valuable leadership skills became instrumental in the merger of two entities, Crown Ministries and Christian Financial Concepts.

In a five-month timeframe, Dave led both ministries through rigorous, but seamless, activities to form the newly created Crown Financial Ministries, with an inception date of September 2000. Since August 2007, Dave has served at the head of the Global Field Division.

Prior to joining Crown Ministries, Dave served with Business & Professional Ministries, a division of The Navigators, beginning in 1992. During that time, he also started two businesses: Hockey Network International in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and EDiX Corporation, a medical transcription company based in Manhattan Beach, California. HNI allowed Dave to utilize his professional and spiritual background to provide life-skills mentoring for professional athletes in the Judeo-Christian context. As EDiX’s president and co-founder, Dave developed a business concept plan using long distance technology to provide nearly instantaneous transcription of patients’ medical records.

Dave was employed by Apple Canada, Inc., from 1985 to 1992. During his tenure Dave received recognition as Apple’s Manager of the Year on three separate occasions. Under his leadership, Canada enjoyed the highest percentage of market share for Apple in the world, growing revenues from $78 million to $323 million.

Dave holds a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from the University of Toronto and has completed Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program. Dave and his wife Ann currently reside in Buford, GA and are the parents of three adult children, Kelly – married to Chris - Brian, and Kristy, and proud grandparents to Benjamin.

By 2002 there were local national movements in 28 European countries, encompassing around 500 local groups and some 5000 active co-workers. Now, Peter continues as a Board member to lead this organisation as it reaches and teaches top leaders about Jesus.
